short history, for casita

Postby flatpack » 1. Feb 2013, 18:55

SA Lenoir and mernier, comes from the 1933 merger of two nut and bolt company's, one or theses company;s started in 1853, the other was created before the war, around 1914-1918, in 1952 a new department was created "mine anchors", then in 1964 a third department was created "folding caravans" "CASITA", but the folding caravans never really took off, and at it's best, just broke even, but the company "folding caravans" then filed for bankruptcy on 21 DEC 1984, the original company still trades today, still making nuts and bolts, hope you found this of some interest,

Not correct, The Company lenoir et mernier does'nt excist anymore as far as I know. The company Affel'm both the company in 2008.

See this link: http://www.lenoiretmernier.com/

Obove the companyname Lenoir&Mernier you will read: repreneur de lenoir&mernier depuis avril 2008 (buyer of Lenoir&Mernier since April 2008)

So this Company is the new Owner and still make the same thing as lenoir&mernier.

I have a Casita Neptune, built around 1979, and have carried out various repairs, including replacing all the Brake parts and Wheel Bearings - I can tell you where to obtain these parts if you need them.
