Esterel Mirage

It would be interesting to know all the different Esterel models and when they were produced as part of the history of the marque.

Came across this unusual Esterel with a bulging side:-

Apparently its a rare model similar to a Rapido Or line . The same with as a car and when you fold it out its the same width as a regular Esterel
"Bessie" Esterel S34
"Harold" 1961ish Sherman Travelette
"The Log Cabin" 1984 Abi Ace Debutante
"Erik" 1973 Saab 96v4

Congratulations TonyP it looks in really good condition and you got it for what appears to be a good price.

Would be interesting to see how bulging side fold out works.

Though the bulge is much more pronounced the idea is reminiscent of the old Portafolds.

That's the same Princip as the FaWoBoo (made in Grmany) FaWoBoo means: Fahren Wohnen Boot
That means Drive Living Boot.
The roof can be used as a Boot
